Playboy Birthday Coin

Recently, we were commissioned to design a coin commemorating Hugh Hefner’s 80th birthday .

After several design efforts this final version was chosen. It is the size of a U.S. silver dollar and contains one ounce of gold and one carat of fine diamonds. The hand carved image is Marilyn Monroe and is similar to her well known pose as the centerfold of the first issue of Playboy magazine in December of 1953. The coin was presented to him at his birthday party held at the Playboy mansion. An order was subsequently placed with us for an additional three coins as gifts for Mr. Hefner’s three roommates.

It was an honor to be chosen to design this coin for a well known personality such as Mr. Hefner.
